G40 G60 G90 galvanized coil refers to galvanized coils with zinc content of 120g, 180g, and 275g per square meter respectively. G90 is an imperial unit used to indicate the thickness of the galvanized layer. G90 represents the average minimum galvanizing amount of 0.9 ounces per square foot measured at three points on both sides.

The zinc layer of G90 galvanized coil is thicker than that of G60, G40 and other galvanized coils, so it has better corrosion resistance.

In galvanized coils, the carbon content is usually at a low level to ensure that the steel has sufficient toughness and processability. Too high a carbon content will cause the steel to become brittle and affect the service life of the steel.

In general, galvanized coils mainly contain elements such as zinc, iron and carbon. Through hot-dip plating, a galvanized layer is formed on the surface of the steel to improve the corrosion resistance and service life of the steel. Through a reasonable galvanizing process and controlling the element content, galvanized coil products with good performance and quality can be produced.
