Galvanized Sheet

Galvanized steel is a type of rolled metal products or an ordinary steel sheet coated with a protective layer of zinc against moisture penetration and exposure to air. Such a protective coating can be applied just on one or both sides or of the steel sheet. The thickness of the protective coating may vary depending on the further area of application of the galvanized steel sheet, as well as on the expected humidity degree of the environment.

Extended Lifespan

Galvanized Steel Sheets exhibit exceptional durability, with a minimum usage period of 10 years, ensuring long-term performance.

Superior Metal Combination

The zinc coating seamlessly interacts with the metal base, preventing cracking, exfoliation, rupture, and detachment during usage.

Environmentally Friendly

Zinc, being a natural material, does not release harmful toxins, making galvanized steel environmentally safe for use in residential areas.

Versatile Application

Galvanized Steel Sheets find a wide range of applications across various industries and construction projects, offering flexibility in design and usage.

Easy Installation and Repair

Galvanized Steel Sheets are simple to install, allowing for convenient setup and subsequent repairs if needed.

Aesthetically Pleasing

Galvanized Steel Sheets exhibit an appealing appearance, enhancing the visual appeal of structures where it is utilized.

Reusability

After dismantling, old Galvanized Steel Sheets can be reused without compromising their technical features and initial properties, contributing to sustainable practices.

Cost-Effective

Galvanized Steel Sheets are known for their affordability, making them a cost-effective building material that delivers value for money.

Galvanizing Methods

Galvanic method

The process of applying zinc on a metal surface using an electrolyte solution.

Galvanizing using high temperatures

Coating a metal (usually iron or steel) with a zinc layer by dipping the product in a bath with molten zinc at a temperature of about 460°C.

Galvanizing using low temperatures

Coating a metal surface with a special composition containing zinc powder.

Sherardization

A galvanizing method which involves the usage of zinc powder (processing takes place at high temperatures from 300 to 450°C) or zinc vapor (at a temperature of 800-900°C).

Zinc spraying

The process of pollinating metal with zinc using a special technical gun.

Gas-dynamic galvanizing

Applying zinc coating using supersonic jet stream.

Galvanized Sheeting – What Are the Different processes

In especially unforgiving conditions, galvanized metal sheet might be a fundamental protect against disintegration. Steel can be strengthened and made more resistant to rust in different ways. Steel can be coated with zinc in a variety of ways, each of which has its own benefits and is suitable for different mechanical requirements. Here are the central procedures of galvanized steel:

Galvanized with a Hot-Plunge
Hot-plunge galvanization is the place where you put steel to absorb zinc. This cycle makes serious solid areas for persevering through covering that guarding the steel from rust and harm. It’s ideal for including in outdoor adventures and outside. Channels, latches, and large basic shapes are just a few examples of the many items that this technique is frequently applied to.

The Process of Electrogalvanizing
Electrogalvanizing, or electroplating, is when zinc is put on steel or iron to keep it away from rusting. Steel acts as a negative charge and zinc plates as a positive charge when power passes through a zinc-containing fluid. The power makes zinc particles move and stick to the steel, which makes a cautious layer. We can control how thick the zinc covering is using this method, which is great for things like precise instruments and vehicle parts that need to be completed smoothly.
