Introduction to 6061 aluminum rod
6061 aluminum rod is an Al-Mg-Si series heat-treatable aluminum alloy (GB/T 3191), with a tensile strength of ≥310MPa in the T6 state, and has both high strength and excellent processability. Its characteristics include: excellent corrosion resistance, weldability and low-temperature toughness (stable performance at -196℃), support for precision machining such as turning and forging, and the surface can be hard anodized (HV≥800). It is widely used in high-strength structural parts such as mechanical spindles, aviation fasteners, and automotive connecting rods, achieving the best balance of strength, cost and reliability in the industrial field.

Its tensile strength in T6 state can reach 310MPa, yield strength 276MPa, while maintaining an elongation of 8-10%. The material has a hardness of HB95, fatigue strength is 50% higher than that of ordinary aluminum, and has good corrosion resistance (passed 3000 hours of salt spray test). The thermal conductivity of 167W/(m·K) makes it an ideal choice for heat dissipation applications, while the density of 2.7g/cm³ achieves excellent lightweight effect.
