5052 Aluminum Sheet

5052 aluminum sheet is an Al-Mg series rust-proof aluminum alloy coil, containing 2.2%-2.8% magnesium and a small amount of chromium, with excellent corrosion resistance (especially seawater erosion resistance) and medium strength (tensile strength can reach 210-260MPa). It has excellent formability, can be hardened by cold working, has good welding performance (suitable for argon arc welding), and has outstanding surface treatment effect. It is widely used in shipbuilding, automobile fuel tanks, chemical equipment, architectural decoration and electronic housing. The common state is H32 or H34 semi-hard state, with a thickness range of 0.2-6.0mm, and has both structural strength and weather resistance.

As a medium-to-high strength aluminum alloy, 5052 aluminum plate has excellent tensile strength (170-245MPa) and excellent corrosion resistance (no corrosion in salt spray test for 3000 hours). Its magnesium content (2.2-2.8%) gives the material good formability (elongation ≥12%) and welding performance. Compared with ordinary aluminum plates, the fatigue strength is increased by 40%, which is particularly suitable for dynamic load environments. The surface hardness can reach HB60 while maintaining the lightweight characteristics of 2.68g/cm³, which is an ideal choice for the shipbuilding and automotive industries.
