Hot dipped Galvalume Coil is a highly corrosion-resistant material. It is made of cold-rolled steel and coated with a coating consisting of 55% aluminum, 43.3% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. It is also known as galvanized steel. Galvalume steel is more durable and long-lasting than galvanized steel and is a common material for outdoor roofing or siding, chimney breasts, color-coated steel substrates, etc.

Galvalume Coil: The New Industry Favorite for High-Performance Protection

 

With corrosion resistance three times that of pure galvanized sheet, high temperature resistance exceeding 300°C, and doubled thermal reflectivity, this aluminum-zinc alloy material empowers eight major fields, including construction, home appliances, and automobiles, with its outstanding performance. Its quaternary crystal structure forms a natural protective shield, and its industrial strength is forged in a 600°C hot-dip coating process, providing antioxidant steel armor for more than 30 types of equipment worldwide.

The production process for galvanized steel coils requires numerous meticulous steps. First, the steel coil undergoes surface treatment, including degreasing and rust removal, to ensure a clean, smooth surface, paving the way for subsequent coating adhesion. The treated steel coil then enters a pretreatment tank for pickling and phosphating, forming a protective zinc-iron alloy layer and further enhancing coating adhesion. Next, an aluminum-zinc alloy coating solution is prepared according to a specific formula. The pretreated steel coil is then immersed in a hot-dip bath. Under precisely controlled temperatures, the aluminum-zinc alloy coating forms a uniform coating. After hot-dip coating, the coil is cooled to solidify and form a complete protective layer. Finally, post-processing steps include coating with an anti-corrosion agent, cleaning, and drying. The finished product undergoes rigorous inspection, including visual inspection, coating thickness measurement, and adhesion testing. Only qualified products are packaged and shipped.
