What is Galvalume Steel?
High Zinc Coating Aluminum Zinc Sheet is a highly corrosion resistant material. It is made from cold rolled steel and coated with a coating consisting of 55% aluminum, 43.3% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. It is also known as galvanized steel. Galvalume steel is more durable and longer lasting than galvanized steel and is a common material for outdoor roofing or siding, chimney breasts, painted steel substrates, and more.

Alu-zinc steel VS galvanized steel
1. Excellent corrosion resistance
The corrosion resistance of galvanized steel is mainly due to the protection of aluminum. When zinc is worn, aluminum forms a dense aluminum oxide layer to prevent corrosive substances from further corroding the interior.
2. Excellent heat resistance
The heat reflectivity of galvanized steel is very high, twice that of ordinary galvanized steel. It has good heat resistance and can withstand high temperatures above 300 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it is often used in chimney pipes, ovens, lighting, lampshades, etc.
3. Good adhesion
The galvanized steel has excellent adhesion to the paint. Therefore, it can be painted without pretreatment and weathering.
4. Beautiful appearance
The surface of galvanized steel is smooth, bright and uniform, which is more beautiful than galvanized steel. Therefore, it can be used directly as a roofing sheet. Galvanized steel looks bright and shiny.
Production Process
Heyan Steel Structure's high zinc layer aluminum zinc sheet (such as AZ150) adopts advanced continuous hot-dip coating process: after degreasing and annealing, the cold-rolled substrate is immersed in a 550°C aluminum zinc molten pool (55%Al-43.4%Zn-1.6%Si), and the coating thickness is precisely controlled by an air knife (more than 150g/m² on both sides). After water quenching and cooling, chromate passivation or fingerprint resistance treatment is carried out, and finally slitting and coiling. The coating composition is monitored by an online spectrometer throughout the process to ensure corrosion resistance (salt spray test for more than 3000 hours) and processing performance (in accordance with ASTM A792 standards), which is suitable for construction and industrial applications in harsh environments.

Our factory
Currently, Heyan has 3 galvanized production lines, mainly producing products within the range of AZ40-AZ150. The main galvanized products produced are: galvanized coils, galvanized flat plates, and galvanized corrugated plates.
