Electro-galvanized Sheet refers to a metal material that is treated on the surface of the steel coil by electroplating. It improves the corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of steel by depositing a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel coil, and is widely used in construction, automobiles, home appliances and other fields.

 

Electrogalvanized production process

 

When producing electro-galvanized sheets, the steel coils are first cleaned, degreased and rusted to ensure a clean surface. The steel plates are then pickled and phosphated to form a phosphate layer to improve the adhesion of the zinc layer. The steel coils are then immersed in an electrolyte containing zinc ions. Through the action of current, the zinc ions are deposited on the surface of the steel coils to form a zinc layer. Finally, the galvanized steel coils are cold rolled and finished and cut into the required size, and packaged for easy transportation and use.

Specifications and grades of electro-galvanized steel

 

Common grades of electro-galvanized steel include DX51D, DX52D, DX53D, DX54D, SGCC, SECC, SECD, SECE. The grades can be used to indicate the plasticity, weldability, strength, toughness, stamping, corrosion resistance, and paintability of steel.

 

Differences between hot-dip galvanizing and electrogalvanizing:

Hot-dip galvanizing is to immerse the steel in molten zinc liquid, while electrogalvanizing is to deposit a zinc layer on the surface of the steel by electrolysis. The zinc layer of hot-dip galvanizing is thicker and more corrosion-resistant, but the surface of the zinc layer is not as smooth as that of electrogalvanizing; the zinc layer of electrogalvanizing is thinner and the surface is smoother, but the corrosion resistance is relatively weak.

1. Conventional thickness: 0.12mm-6.0mm, meeting the needs of mainstream fields such as construction, home appliances, and automobiles;

2. Ultra-thin series: 0.12mm-0.5mm (error ±0.02mm), suitable for high-end scenarios such as precision electronic parts and lightweight packaging;

3. Thickened series: 3.0mm-6.0mm (zinc layer Z180-Z275), dedicated to heavy anti-corrosion structural parts, power towers and other harsh environments.

All products comply with international standards such as ASTM A653 and EN 10346, support customized slitting and provide third-party quality inspection reports (such as SGS) to ensure dimensional accuracy and anti-corrosion performance.

 

Our domestic conventional inventory covers mainstream steel categories, mainly distributed in three core logistics hubs

 

1. East China Base (Shanghai, Ningbo Port): Hot-rolled coils (2.0-12mm), galvanized sheets (0.3-3.0mm) and color-coated coils are always available, radiating the Japanese, Korean and Southeast Asian markets;

2. North China Base (Tianjin, Qingdao Port): Concentrated cold-rolled sheets (0.5-2.5mm), medium and thick plates (8-40mm), serving the export along the Belt and Road;

3. South China Base (Guangzhou, Fangchenggang): Reserve electrical steel, pickled coils and zinc-aluminum-magnesium plates to meet the needs of Africa and the Middle East.

The total inventory exceeds 500,000 tons, supporting 72-hour delivery of spot goods, and can be dynamically allocated according to orders.
